Aurora The Band is a five-piece alternative rock band based out of Central Arkansas. The band consists of lead vocalist Makayla Joyce, guitarists Ben Ison and Jon Montgomery, bassist Mady Hicklin, and drummer Mack Hicklin. Since forming, Aurora quickly established themselves as one of the fastest-rising bands in Arkansas. The band recently completed their first regional tour. “The Daybreak Tour” was highlighted by multiple sold-out shows and a rapidly growing fanbase. Along the way, Aurora has shared the stage with artists such as Ace Monroe, The Retrograde, Felicity, and more. Their momentum continued at the 2025 Arkansas Music Awards, where they took home four awards: Best Rock Band, Best New Band, Best Female Vocalist, and Best Drummer. Aurora recently released their debut singles, Walk Away and Let It Fall, offering listeners a first taste of their sound. Aurora is set to release their first full length album later this year.
